Important Update
On July 16, the Wamego Council of Churches took an important vote regarding Faith Market. The council voted to release the ministry of Faith Market to Wamego United Methodist Church effective Tuesday, July 29.
We are deeply grateful for the years of shared leadership, volunteer dedication and generous support that have helped Faith Market serve so many in our community.
As we look to the future, we are excited that Faith Market will continue as a ministry of Wamego UMC. Our commitment to feeding our community remains strong!
New Hours in September
On July 17, a group of 20 people from five different churches gathered to strategically plan the ministry of Faith Market. They made a proposal to change the hours of operation to better meet the needs of volunteers and clients. This proposal was taken to the Administrative Council who unanimously approved it.
Starting in September, Faith Market will be open on the first and third Tuesday of each month from noon to 6 p.m.
The ministry will be funded by donations from the Hy-Vee Bread Run, community organizations, local businesses and grants. We are in the process of opening a fund with the Wamego Community Foundation for Match Day in October.
