At Wamego UMC, children are encouraged to participate in every aspect of church life! Our children's ministry is geared toward ages 3 years old - fifth grade. Explore the information below to learn how you can get involved.
Sunday School
Our children's Sunday school class meet every week during worship.
After the children's message (early in the service), a volunteer guides the kids to Room 123 (located on the north end of the building) where they learn about God's love through engaging stories, joyful songs and crafts that spark curiosity!

Superheroes of Faith
An epic 10-week adventure for kids begins on August 13 — Superheroes of Faith. Ages three years old through 5th grade are invited to join us every Wednesday night through October 15 from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room.
Kids will discover the superpowers of Jesus and how they can become heroes of faith in their own lives! Each week, we will explore a different story from Jesus’ life that highlights His unique abilities — like His power to heal, His compassion, His ability to calm storms and His ultimate victory over death.
Each session will feature:
Bible Stories: Dive into a new story each week that shows Jesus' incredible qualities and what it means to follow Him.
Superhero Training: Fun activities and games designed to challenge kids to become real-life superheroes by practicing Jesus' teachings.
Superpower Development: Hands-on crafts, like making superhero masks or capes, and Bible verse challenges to help kids "unlock" their own spiritual superpowers.
Team Missions: Kids will work together in teams to complete challenges, earn badges and learn what it means to serve others with the heart of a superhero.

By the end of this journey, kids will have a deeper understanding of who Jesus is and how they can use their own superpowers of love, kindness and courage to change the world. We hope you will join us in the fun!
