Summer of Service
This summer, children ages three years old - 5th grade can make a BIG difference in our community. We've planned 28 hands-on service opportunities designed for little hands with big hearts. Come once or come often — every act of kindness matters!
Every Tuesday

Join us for a fun service project every Tuesday at 10 a.m. in June and July. Pickup is at 11:30 a.m. but guardians are also welcome to stay. More details for each project are listed below. Pay attention to the location — We are intentionally engaging with the community!

The USD 320 Summer Lunch Program takes place in our Fellowship Hall. Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in June and July. This free program is available for all children in the area, ages 1-18.

We will also make customer appreciation cards to prepare for our service project on June 17. Pickup will be in the Multipurpose Room.
Wednesday, June 11

Stop by the teal tent to craft heartfelt Father's Day cards, a special way to show appreciation for the father figures in our community.
Tuesday, June 17

We will meet at the front of the church, then walk to the Wamego United Methodist Thrift Shop. Amanda, the Thrift Shop Manager will show us around the shop and share how the store cares for the community. We will walk back to the church together for pickup.

(Park Day)
We will meet at the front of the church, then walk to the City Park together. We will spend some time hiding our kindness rocks from our June 10 project, then enjoy some time playing in the park. Please wear sunscreen and hats. We will provide water and snacks. We will walk back to the church for pickup.
Wednesday, June 25
(Zucchini Bread)
Stop by the teal tent to measure out all the dry ingredients needed to make zucchini bread and grab a recipe card. Then, head to the A & H Farm booth for a free zucchini. This is a great opportunity to bake a loaf to share with a friend, neighbor or someone in need of a kind (and delicious) gesture.
