Period Poverty Project

 

Throughout September, we will collect period products for our local schools as well as our Blessing Box. 

The Facts

Approximately 25% of students in the US have struggled to purchase period products in the last year.

 

84% of students have missed class or know someone who has due to a lack of access to period products.

 

Just 4% of women know of a local resource where free or reduced-cost period products are available.

 

State and federal safety-net programs like SNAP and WIC still do not cover period products.
