missions

Below you will find many opportunities to serve, relieve suffering and help those in need. Such opportunities arise in Wamego, surrounding areas and even abroad.

You can also make a difference through financial contributions. Head to our online giving platform to make a donation to any of our missions or ministries.

feed the flinthills

Eagle Media recently launched Feed the Flint Hills and raised $16,000 for the Geary County Food Pantry. They've now chosen two more pantries to help — Flint Hills Breadbasket and Wamego Council of Churches Food Pantry!

With the help of a generous grant from The Schmidt Foundation, they're able to match donations up to $10,000 between the two pantries — that’s up to $5,000 for our food pantry alone! Donations can be made for the next few months using the link below!

meals on wheels

Our church is responsible for Meals on Wheels in July. Due to the pandemic, many of our regulars are unable to volunteer this year. If you’re at home more often this summer or searching for something to do with the kids, we encourage you to give this a try!

Deliveries are contactless and meals can be picked up at the Senior Center, 10:45-11:00 AM. All you need is 30 minutes and your own transportation. If you’re interested in volunteering for a week or even a day, please contact our office. Your time makes a great difference in the lives of seniors in our community.

Each year, we send an enthusiastic mission team to Guatemala. For one week, they work tirelessly, building homes and doing various projects in the Panajachel community. Learn more in the video, linked below. If you'd like to participate, contact our office! Spots fill up quickly each year.

Click the link below to watch a video to hear from our ERT leader, Dave Mize, and his experience on an ERT in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
