Earth day

50 years ago, Earth Day was observed globally for the first time with parades, marches and other happenings. While things look quite different this year, we encourage you to get outside and get creative in caring for God's creation.

Scripture reminds us that the Earth is the Lord's (1 Corinthians 10:26 and others) we are to take care of it (Genesis 1:26, 28; Genesis 2:15 and others) and we are to love each other (Philippians 2:4, 1 John 3:18 and others).

Below are a few simple ideas you can do while social distancing. Don't forget to encourage others to join us in our Christian response in caring for the Earth! Post photos of your Earth Day celebration using #ComeConserve.

Pick up trash while you're out walking with your household.

Sign up for curbside recycling through your trash service.

Walk instead of driving when running essential errands.

Do an Earth Day coloring page and hang it in your window.
